Mild Dragon Noodles

A quick, sweet-savory, kid-friendly favorite without the spice.

Prep Time: 5 minutes | Cook Time: 15 minutes | Servings: 3 to 4

Ingredients

• Noodles: 8 oz ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets), spaghetti, or lo mein noodles

• Protein: 1/2 lb ground pork, chicken, beef, or 2–3 scrambled eggs

• Vegetables: 1 cup shredded carrots (plus optional peas or broccoli florets)

• Mild Sweet-Savory Sauce:

– 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce

– 3 tablespoons brown sugar or honey

– 1 tablespoon sesame oil

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 2 tablespoons water or chicken broth

Instructions

1. Cook the Noodles: Boil your noodles according to the package directions. Drain well and set aside.

2. Mix the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic powder,

and water until the sugar dissolves.

3. Sauté Protein & Carrots: Brown your ground meat in a skillet or wok over medium heat until

completely cooked through. Add the shredded carrots during the last 2–3 minutes of cooking so they

soften slightly but keep a bit of texture. (Note: If using eggs instead of meat, scramble them first, remove

from the pan, and set aside.)

4. Toss Together: Turn the heat down to low. Add the drained noodles and your sauce to the skillet with

the protein and carrots. (Toss in the scrambled eggs now if using). Stir-fry everything gently for 1–2

minutes until the sauce coats all the ingredients evenly and is fully warmed through.

5. Serve: Divide into bowls and serve warm. Perfect for easy weeknight dinners!
